SNA Welcomes the Government’s Launch of the RAISe+ Scheme to Accelerate Commercialization of R&D Outcomes

Semiconductor Nanotechnology Alliance (SNA) enthusiastically welcomes the announcement of the $10 billion “Research, Academic and Industry Sectors One-plus Scheme” (RAISe+ Scheme) by the Government. This incentivizing initiative aims to subsidize the commercialization of R&D outcomes by university research teams through matching funds, further propelling the translation of R&D outcomes and bolstering industry development. The Innovation and Technology Commission recently held a forum on September 28, officially announcing the mid-October launch of the Scheme to universities.

As a devoted organization in the field of micro- and nano-electronics, SNA is dedicated to promoting research and innovation in this domain while strengthening industry competitiveness. The mission of SNA aligns perfectly with the objectives of the RAISe+ Scheme, making it a significant step towards achieving the shared goal of advancing technological progress and fostering collaboration between academia, industries, and public bodies.

By welcoming the RAISe+ Scheme, SNA reinforces its commitment to advancing micro- and nano-electronics research and innovation. The collaboration between the Government, universities, and industry stakeholders under this scheme will undoubtedly accelerate the pace of technological advancements and contribute to the sustainable growth of the industry.
